Give shape to what you want

​ Nakazato:

This "Solo Collection" looks simple at first glance, but even the small parts such as the tip of the modern are beautifully finished. Was it difficult to design?

​ Konishi:

No, surprisingly I finished it in a short time from start to finish (laughs). bottom.

​ Nakazato:

Well, there is such a thing. why so early?

​ Konishi:

Well, I had an image in my head of what kind of thing I wanted to make, so all I had to do was shape it. I think it's because I designed it while thinking about what I would wear rather than demand. I thought that if I was going to hang it, it would be nice to have something as minimal as this. I thought about adding a slightly edgy design inside, and even made a prototype, but when I looked at the whole collection, it didn't match the atmosphere, so I discarded it. (smile)

Very popular from “immediately after release”

​ Nakazato:

The latest collection “Solo” of “Line Art Charmant”, which was just launched in October 2022, is now very popular at our store. Please tell us about the behind-the-scenes story of the development that is not in the product information.

​ Konishi:

Thank you very much. Come thank you.

​ Nakazato:

Well, I'm also curious about that rejected idea (laughs).

​ Konishi:

I agree. I also referred to round-table discussions held within the company.

​ Nakazato:

Symposium? what is that?

​ Konishi:

We had a round-table discussion with women who are the target group of the "solo collection" in the company. "What do you usually do at home?" "What do you wear on your days off?" "Who are you watching on Instagram?" . During the round-table discussions, there are celebrities and Instagrammers who look up to them, saying, “I want to be like Mr. XX,” and it seems that they often choose clothes and glasses while wanting to get closer to that image. There are many people who own several types of simple glasses with different designs, and have different types depending on the coordination of the day and the scene of going out.

​ Nakazato:

Come to think of it, there are many customers who come to the store asking, "Do you have the glasses worn by a celebrity?" Since its release, the "Solo Collection" has been very popular at our store and has been purchased by men as well.

"Discover yourself new"

​ Konishi:

One of the themes of the "Solo Collection" is that it is genderless and ageless, and there are models available in two sizes. There are a lot of unisex eyeglasses in the world today that come in plain colors like black or brown. In the "Solo Collection", we are trying to develop all 6 types in 6 colors with the motto "Colors that make you want to hang and see".

​ Nakazato:

It certainly has a richer range of colors than ever before. Since the release of the Solo Collection, the number of customers in their 20s has increased. The number of customers who come to the store with their parents and children has increased, and there are customers who have become line art users in their entire family.

​ Konishi:

very! It's ideal. I was aiming for a design that would be loved by generations.

​ Nakazato:

Certainly, the design of the "Solo Collection" suits people of various ages and genders. I'm looking forward to future developments. When are you currently designing models for release?

​ Konishi:

I'm thinking of a model for the spring of 2024.

​ Nakazato:

Is it already 2024! It's early, isn't it?

​ Konishi:

That's right. The design for 2023 has already been decided, and it will be a year and a half later at the earliest that what I have just thought about will take shape.

​ Nakazato:

It's a great future (laughs).

​ Konishi:

That's right. Do you have any requests for that? A year and a half later.

​ Nakazato:

Hmm, a year and a half later. Thinking like that makes it difficult. I'll think about it.

"Supreme comfort"

​ Konishi:

Line art is really comfortable to wear, so I want more generations to know how wonderful it is. I hope to expand the user generation through this "solo collection".

​ Nakazato:

All types and colors are available only at our flagship store, so we will continue to introduce more and more. I would like customers to enjoy discovering a new self with a different image by comparing various products. I hope you can feel the comfort of the line art in it.

​ Konishi:
